Member of the Year
The St. Anthony men’s golf team captured the IHSA Class A state golf championship in 2001 and repeated again in 2002.
The 2001 golf team included seniors Neil Brumleve (‘02) and Anthony Imburgia (‘02) as well as Matt Kenter (‘03), Jeff Wendt (‘03), Matt Imburgia (‘04), Mike Imburgia (‘04), Jake Niebrugge (‘04), and Jordan Koerner (‘05). The 2002 team included the non-senior 2001 members as well as Brian Gaddis (‘04) and Matt Koester (‘06).
Both teams were coached by Phil Zaccari, who continues to coach the golf team today. Depth was essential to team success all year and particularly on the way to state with different players capturing first place in the regional, sectional and state tournaments
